Privacy Policy
How Cumbria Scalp Clinic Ltd handles your personal information, in plain English.
Who we are
Cumbria Scalp Clinic Ltd is a scalp micropigmentation, tattoo removal and vitamin injection clinic based at Unit 6, Kerry Park Industrial Estate, Workington, CA14 3TT. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 17332157. For anything relating to your personal information, contact us at brett.mcmullen@hotmail.com or on 07426 938460.
We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
What information we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we collect your name, phone number, email address, the treatment you are interested in and anything you choose to tell us in the message field.
If you go on to have a consultation or treatment, we also record the clinical information needed to treat you safely and consistently, for example your medical history and consent, the shade and technique used, session dates and any aftercare notes.
If you give separate written consent for before-and-after photographs, we hold those images too. We never publish client photographs without that written consent.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and arrange your free consultation.
To carry out your treatment safely, plan sessions and honour the free touch-up within 8 weeks of your final session.
To keep the records we are required to keep as a licensed and insured clinic.
To contact you about your own appointments. We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to third parties for marketing.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent when you submit an enquiry or agree to photographs being used; on the performance of a contract when we treat you; on our legitimate interests in running and insuring the clinic; and on legal obligation where record-keeping is required. Health information is treated as special category data and handled accordingly.
Who we share it with
Enquiry details submitted through the website are handled by the systems we use to receive and manage enquiries, and by our website and email providers, purely so that the enquiry reaches us. Those providers act on our instructions only.
We may share information where we are legally required to, or with our insurer where a claim or incident makes it necessary.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to treatment are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and then deleted. Treatment and consent records are kept for the period required of a clinic of this type by law and by our insurer, and are then securely destroyed.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses only what is necessary to serve the pages and to embed a Google Map on the contact and location pages. Embedded map content is provided by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy terms. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent, including consent for photographs, at any time. Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and changes
Records are kept securely and access is limited to the practitioner treating you. If we change this policy we will update the page, so please check it from time to time.
